About Chance for Children
Chance for Children (CFC) is a non-profit organization committed to providing educational support to children living in poverty in Japan. Through its two pillar programs, Study Coupon, and HelloCul, CFC ensures that children have unique access to out-of-school education, including private tutoring schools, sports programs and music lessons. In addition, trained college student volunteers consult with the children on a regular basis to guide them on future path, learning and school life.
CFC was originally set out as a project of a different non-profit entity that supports children affected by the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The project was spined off and incorporated in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. Since its founding, CFC has supported more than 8,000 children, and made the lifelong impact on their lives.
A message from our Representative Director Yusuke Imai:

Our recent survey found that, due to rising prices, nearly 80% of economically struggling families have had to give up on expenses related to their children's education and experiential activities, making support urgently needed. We would be grateful for your support as a "Charity Runner" to help bring opportunities to as many children as possible.
